Ninja Experience Cafe Takayama is a facility where visitors can have an authentic samurai/ninja experience in the conveniently located historical city of Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. The store displays historical helmets, swords, and tea utensils that are important for learning about old Japan.

In the ninja experience course, you can change into a ninja costume, try your hand at shuriken with an authentic iron shuriken, blow an arrow, or stay with a sword using a replica sword. Visitors can experience ninja training, such as sword iai using imitation swords (kata training using blades, an essential part of real ninja training).

There are also drinks and sweets to enjoy as entertainment, and the area can also be used as a rest stop for visitors tired from taking pictures or traveling in the high mountains.

The Ninja Experience Cafe Takayama has an abundance of exhibits such as swords, helmets, pots, money, and other items that give visitors a sense of Japan in those historic times.
One of the most overwhelming exhibits is a massive calligraphy of "Shinobu" (ninja). Local Takayama high school students wrote this calligraphy.
This is a space where visitors can feel firsthand the Japanese history handed down to the present day.

Due to the limited number of seats and costumes available, we recommend that you make a reservation before coming to the store.

Do I have to do the experience？

Admission is by one-drink order only and the experience is not mandatory. You are also welcome to use the cafe.

What are the sizes and contents of the ninja uniforms?

The NINJA suit includes the top and bottom of the outfit, OBI, JINPATI, and TEKKO.

Is there any particular attire that is appropriate for experiencing the NINJA suit?

We ask that you wear underwear when wearing the NINJA suit, and comfortable shoes are recommended for the VR NINJA games.

Is there a changing room for changing into NINJA suit?

We do have a changing room. We do not have lockers available, so please keep your valuables, clothes, and other personal belongings with you.

Is it possible to use only the cafe？

Yes, you can use only the cafe menu. Please feel free to use it.

Is it possible to shoot a video or live stream video?

Yes, video and photo shooting is possible. For live video distribution, please consult with us if there are other clients present.

Is there a children's price for the experience menu or cafe menu?

We do not have a children's price because there is no difference in the content of the experience menu for either children or adults.

Is it possible to bring in food and beverages?

Snacks for children and drinks for infants are allowed. Other food and beverages may not be consumed in the restaurant. (You may bring in food and beverages as carry-on baggage.)
